Chinese Recipes Braised Shrimp
Braised Shrimp
Ingredients: 1 lb. large shrimp, shelled
2/3 cup onion, sliced thin and deveined
1.1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
3 tbsp. oil
2/3 cup bamboo shoots,
2 tbsp. soy sauce
sliced lengthwise 1.
1/2 tbsp. sherry
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup chicken broth
Directions:
Cut shrimp in 1 inch pieces. Heat oil in wok, stir-fry shrimp for 1 minute; add soy sauce, sherry and sugar, stir well; add ginger, onion and bamboo shoots, fry 2 minutes until vegetables are softening. Cover and simmer 3 minutes. Blend cornstarch and broth, add to shrimp and stir to thicken.
