Corn and rye muffins

Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup yellow corn meal
1/4 cup dark rye flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
VA cups buttermilk
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey

Directions:
Sift together the dry ingredients. Beat together the wet ingredients.
Stir the two mixtures together just until they are well combined, then spoon the batter rnto buttered muffin tins.
Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of one comes out clean and dry. Serve warm.
Makes 12 medium-sized muffins.
