Ingredients:
1/4 pound thinly sliced beef salami
1/4 pound thinly sliced boiled ham
or prosciutto
1/2 pound natural Swiss cheese
Thinly sliced French rolls
1/2 cup (1/4 lb.) butter
1 cup salad oil

Directions:
Cubes of natural Swiss cheese overwrapped with slices of salami or prosciutto melt in the mouth after a quick dip in the bubbling hot oil.
Cut salami slices in thirds, lengthwise; cut prosciutto in 1 by 3-inch strips. Cut cheese into 1/2-inch cubes. Arrange meat strips, cheese cubes, and bread slices in a shallow bowl or on a board.
Heat butter and oil in a deep fondue pot over alcohol flame until foamy. Do not allow fat to brown.
To cook, wrap a meat strip around a cheese cube, spear on a bamboo skewer, and immerse in hot fat until cheese begins to melt. Place on a French roll slice to eat. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
