Tomato fondue

Recipe Tomato fondue

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter or
2 cups grated Emmentaler or
margarine
Gruyere cheese
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 frounce package frozen 1/2 teaspoon salt
crabmeat, thawed (op-tional)
1/3teaspoon dry mustard
3 cups milk
4 or 6 slices white toast 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
4 or 6 tomato slices
sauce
Butter
Salt and pepper


Directions:
Melt butter in top pan of double boiler. Gradually stir in flour, salt and dry mustard. Add milk and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened and smooth. Stir in Worcestershire and cheese, stirring until cheese is melted. Stir in crabmeat and cook until crab is heated.
Cut toast diagonally, to make toast points. Place 2 points in individual heatproof casseroles or ramekins. Divide fondue over top. Place tomato slices in center; dot with butter; season. Place under broiler until tomato is lightly browned.
