Hot scotch kisses ( Carmel-Butterscotch Sauce )
Ingredients: 3/2 cup light corn syrup
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2/3 cup medium cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
In saucepan, cook syrup, sugar, butter and cream together over low heat until mixture becomes thick and creamy, let cool slightly and add vanilla. Transfer to fondue pot and keep warm over very low heat
Method: Brush sugar and starch from 20 marshmal-lows, serve 5 to each person along with wooden fork. Dip marshmallows in caramel-butterscotch sauce to cover completely, drip off excess sauce over pot, twirling fork, or let cool on plate. When all marshmallows are dipped and eaten, divide remaining sauce among diners.
Variation: Instead of marshmallows, serve unsalted popcorn and do likewise.
Variation No. 2: Instead of Caramel-Butterscotch Sauce, use Hot Chocolate Sauce from Banana Split Fondue.
