Fondue Pippins and cheese
Pippins and cheese
Ingredients: 3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons kirsch orbrandy
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
4 or 5 pippin apples, cored,peeled and cut in
3/ 4 inch chunks
2 cups diced sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions:
Melt butter in fondue pot; slowly add the flour, mixing well. Stir in milk slowly until fondue becomes thick. Add cheese a little at a time, stirring each time until melted, then add kirsch and blend.
With wooden forks, dip apple chunks and cover with sauce. Apples should be crisp—either new or chilled.
