Ingredients:
2 large cooking apples (Golden
Delicious or Winesap)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup rum

Directions:
Rum flames and flavors this apple dessert. After the flames subside, serve alone, or you could spoon it over ice cream.
Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place chafing dish or an attractive frying pan over medium heat on your kitchen range. Melt butter, stir in sugar; then add apples; glaze on both sides, about 10 minutes.
Bring to the table and place over low heat. Heat rum in a small pan, ignite, and pour over apples; stir until flames die. Makes about 4 servings.
