Fondue Honey-Chocolate Sundae Sauce
Honey-Chocolate Sundae Sauce
Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup honey
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
Scant 2 cups miniature
marshmallows (or 12
regular marshmallows)
Directions:
Anyone who likes chocolate will enjoy this rich and airy sauce. Sweetened with honey and fluffed with marshmallows, these ingredients stay creamy and smooth even after being poured over ice cream.
In metal fondue pot or medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat. Stir in cornstarch, which has been mixed with the cocoa, until blended. Pour in honey and water.
Heat, stirring constantly, until sauce comes to a boil and thickens. Remove from heat; add salt and marshmallows; stir until marshmallows are melted.
Place over table top heating element to keep warm. Serve over ice cream. Makes about 3 cups sauce.
