Ingredients: 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup light cream
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter Dash salt
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
Directions: Place chocolate and cream in saucepan; stir constantly over low heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and blended. Add sugar, butter, and salt; continue cooking, stirring constantly, 3 to 5 minutes longer, or until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Pour into a small fondue pot or chafing dish to keep warm.
Fresh or dried fruits, candies, cookies, ladyfingers and snack foods are served along with the fondue.
