Main Course - Meat Shashlik 2
Shashlik 2
Ingredients: 4 pounds lamb, breast or steak
1 bunch dill, chopped fine
Juice of 5 lemons
2 cloves garlic
1 bunch parsley, chopped fine
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Cut meat into 1 1/2 -inch cubes. Place in deep dish or crock. Pour over mixture of lemon juice, parsley, dill, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix with meat so that each piece is seasoned. Cover and let stand in cool place 3 to 4 hours. Run skewers through pieces of meat. Broil about 12 minutes, turning so that all sides are evenly browned. If desired, alternate meat cubes with tomato wedges, mushrooms, and onion slices. Serves 8.
