Main Course - Meat Braised Veal Paprika
Braised Veal Paprika
Ingredients: 4 onions, sliced
1 tablespoon cooking fat
1 teaspoon paprika
2 pounds veal steak
1 green pepper, diced
1 cup water
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Saute onions in hot fat until light brown. Add paprika and veal, cut into 1-inch cubes. Brown meat on all sides. Add green pepper. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add water and simmer until meat is tender, about1 1/2 hours. Add more water as needed to keep about 1 cup of gravy in kettle. Season to taste. Serves 6.
